Backyard residency program.
Mission of DEZ ORG is affirmation and promotion of contemporary visual art practises of young artists, that have relevant and critical approach to the various issues of contemporary society and art, through networking and cooperation with similar groups, relevant institutions on local, regional and international level.
DEZ ORG is an organization that is founded on the principles of self-organization, artistic initiatives, volunteer work and cooperation with other art oriented organiations and institutions.
DEZ ORG, in collaboration with other organizations at the local and international level so far realized over 30 events: group and solo exhibitions, performances, panel discussions, workshops and publication promotions, with participants - young artists from Serbia, SEE region and Europe, and in local (Belgrade, Pančevo, Novi Sad, Smederevo, Subotica) and international context (Italy, Netherlands, Romania, Turkey, USA). Larger-scale projects include an international panel of artistic groups from the region, new media exhibition followed by the lectures and workshops on free software through collaboration with organizations that operate in a wider (non artistic) cultural context.
